Helpful Weather Advice
We’ve got all kinds of advice about the weather. Some of it is even helpful.
Past Weather Tips
Here are some of the helpful weather tips we’ve shared in the past months. Most of them are good, a few may be stinkers. (Hey, we take no responsibility for any tips the Weekend Crew may have slipped in when we weren’t watching.)
— In case of lightning nearby, STAY AWAY FROM TREES and avoid sheds, picnic areas and bleachers. If you’re in an open area, put your feet together and put your hands over your ears to reduce any hearing damage from loud thunder (sorry, Barry gets carried away).
— When a tornado is near your house, go to the basement or to an inside room on the lowest level (like a bathroom or central closet). Wrap yourself up in coats or blankets to protect yourself in case there’s flying debris.
— If it’s a really hot day, make sure and stay hydrated by drinking lots of water to avoid getting overheated.
— Don’t eat yellow snow. (This one was probably added by the Weekend Crew)
