Why Do We
Make the Weather?

How did the Schaumburg Weather Making Department get started? It’s pretty simple — so many people complained about the normal weather they were getting that the Village of Schaumburg decided they could do a better job of it. And so our department was created (and stuck down in the sub-basement, because making weather is a messy business).

Over the years we’ve delivered a pretty consistent level of high-quality weather for the residents of Schaumburg (we don’t count the two weeks in 2014 that Morty was on vacation in upstate New York, any city could have a monsoon, heatwave and snowstorm in one day).

We’re proud of our weather professionals (except for the Weekend Crew) and the state-of-the-art weather making equipment we use to create weather (just kidding, our machines are ancient and held together with chewing gum and electrical tape).
